The Drum Beat
By Jack S
Your beat is as loud as thunder from Zeus.
The cymbals are as soft as a slight breeze,
Blowing through the wind chimes.
Your colors paint a picture of rock and wildness.
When you hit the beat,
You sound like a rushing city.
You control the wind and earth around you.
When the sticks go wild,
It makes you feel like a stampede running through the stadium.
The crowd goes wild when the final drum solo starts.
Blind
By Katherine F
People walk and talk,
Look around, but still are blind.
We don’t see the problems in the world,
The homeless, the poor,
The left out on the playground,
The left out at lunch.
We only care about ourselves,
And how we look,
How we are judged,
And how we are thought of.
We think, are we pretty?
Are we being noticed for our clothes and hair?
When we should be looking at those left out,
Those who are hurt,
And those who are less fortunate.
We are blind to everything around us.
We do not see the problems others face.
We are blind.
Bullying
By Kassidy C
People are bullies when they name call or hit.
People are mean on Facebook, Twitter or Kik.
People who are bullies are really weak.
Stand out from the crowd and be unique.
If you see someone being bullied, take a stand.
Don’t be afraid to lend a hand.
So listen here bullies, you are being uncool.
Being a bully just makes you a fool.
Don’t be a bully, be a friend.
Stop this crazy, hurtful trend.
