This Place
By Natalie N. at Communion of Saints
This place, this warm inviting sanctuary
The piano in the back,
Aged with memories.
The pictures surrounding the room
Pull you into a whirlwind of memories,
Crisp with color.
The giant couch sets the classic idea,
The idea of family together.
And next to this an old chair
Filled with its own memories.
A coffee table stained
With the haloes of coffee
Brown and beautiful in my eyes.
The smell of apple cinnamon fills the air
As the golden flames of the
Small candle and large fire dance joyfully,
Yet outside the canopies
Of snow grabbing the black trees tell you, silently,
This is where I belong.
This place, this warm inviting sanctuary.
