After-school programs
Lake Erie Ink’s after-school programming engages youth in thematic creative expression activities that inspire and encourage artistic expression, creative thinking and literacy enrichment through the written word. Our young writers hone their writing and communication skills and express themselves through various artistic genres, including plays, comics, poems, fiction, non-fiction, songwriting, and more. Not only do participants write across genres, but they also share their creative work with each other, family, friends and the larger community through readings and bound anthologies.
Does my child have to be a good writer to attend? No! That is the beauty of creative expression. In fact, creative writing can help reluctant writers overcome their fear of putting pencil to paper and improve their writing fluency.
