Spring Renga Poem
By Kalia, Eva, and Cameron
I see the trees, which sway like they’re dancing.
I hear birds chirping like non-stop alarm clocks.
I smell the grass like I am lying in the sun.
I feel a breeze hitting my face and I feel relaxed.
I see the dandelion seeds fly like the birds.
I hear the wind blowing the leaves of the trees,
And the grass flowing.
I think that outside is so great.
My Hands
By Mariah H. from Mary McLeod Bethune School
My hands create love for my baby cousin.
My hands hold my baby cousin.
My hands reach for my baby cousin to hug him.
My hands let go of anger.
My hands make my own play dough,
My hands let go of sadness,
My hands reach for the sky.
The Dream
By Madison from Mary McLeod Bethune School
I like going to the dream because it calms my feelings down. When I’m there I see nature, woods, flowers, and the sky. I only touch there is the petals on the flowers and the bark on the tree. I go there because it makes me chilled and takes my anger away. I smell the air.

They call me the money spender
The respect giver the baby face
Assassin it you will
I play ball like Curry, manipulate
My parents to the point where they
Wanna hurt me but I sit back and
Laugh.
I do me to the point where
All the girls hate me.
Now put my name Destiny and doing
Hair is my game
I eat and cook food as I aim
On getting good grades and I play
Uno like it spades

I am not what people think I am.
I am the player of my favorite basketball team making a shoot one hand.
I am Jenal Monae with the weird style.
I am the breakfast you sit on your table in the morning and wake up saying finger-licking good.

I am a Golden State fan and I’m also Dajanaé.
