National Novel Writing Month at Lake Erie Ink
(NANOWRIMO AT LEI)
Tomorrow is November 1st–the first day of National Novel Writing Month! We hope that some of you will sit down–even if by candle light–and begin your novel. If you want to know more about NaNoWriMo, you can visit their website (and sign up for NaNoWriMo) at http://nanowrimo.org/ (for adults) and or http://ywp.nanowrimo.org/ (the direct link to the Young Writers Program). The NaNoWriMo website has all kinds of information and pep talks by published writers.
At LEI, we are holding NaNoWriMo workshops every Wednesday in November (except Nov. 21st) from 7-8:30 to help and inspire young novelists (from 6th-12th grade) AND adults. It’s not too late to sign up! Also, if you are working at home, and you need some inspiration, the people at NaNoWriMo have created workbooks for all ages. (Adults, try the high school workbook.) You can download the workbooks at http://ywp.nanowrimo.org/workbooks
Email clarsen@lakeerieink.org for more information. Good Luck!
