Ohio Arts Council Awards Lake Erie Ink for Quality After School Arts Programming
At Lake Erie Ink, we are grateful to have recently received funding from the Ohio Arts Council to ensure that kids have a safe space after school to explore their creativity and the literary arts. This grant will directly support the Ink Spot After School Program during the 2016-2017 school year.
Taking place in two locations (on-site at Lake Erie Ink’s creative space in the Coventry neighborhood and at Noble Elementary School), the Ink Spot gives youth a safe and encouraging space to complete their homework and engage in creative expression activities where they explore poetry, puppetry, comics, playwriting, short fiction, creative nonfiction, journaling, and multi-media projects four days per week throughout the school year.
The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically. Lake Erie Ink is excited to have recognition from the Ohio Arts Council for providing quality after school arts programming for youth.
