Family Storytelling Workshops Nov. 12 Feature Artists from Dance and Oral Storytelling Traditions
Every holiday season is marked with a plethora of opportunities to share family stories with one another from across the generations. This November, Lake Erie Ink is hosting guest artists from the Cleveland Association of Black Storytellers and GroundWorks Dance Theater to present family friendly workshops for kids of all ages to explore the art of family storytelling. Join us for one or both of these storytelling workshops where families are encouraged to attend together. Pizza will be served at 12:30pm for all attendees. Register today.

At this workshop, GroundWorks DanceTheater will present a unique opportunity for you to learn about dance as a form of storytelling. Using family stories, oral histories or personal experiences as your guide, you will learn basic dance elements, such as shape, size, speed, level, and direction, while responding to prompts and creating your original dance. No dance experience required.
Weekend Ink is a series of creative expression workshops for all ages where youth explore fun genres with guest artists and writers. Pre-registration is encouraged at lakeerieink.org/register. Weekend Ink is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.
