The Teen Book Project is back! Join us 9/13 at an info session to learn more
Calling all teens! Lake Erie Ink needs your help to publish a book of local teen writing. Come to an information session on Wednesday, September 13 from 6-7pm to learn about how you can become an editor and/or published author with us.
About the Teen Book Project
Once a year, Lake Erie Ink gathers a group of teens from across Greater Cleveland to plan and publish a book of local teen writing. Our inaugural book in this series, titled Home / Away from Home, was released in June 2017.
How can I participate?
Teens can participate in one of two ways: either join our editorial board or submit your writing or art for publication.
Lake Erie Ink’s teen editorial board is a group of high school students who gather submissions of original teen writing and compile them into a professional publication. Editorial board members have the chance to learn first hand about the editing process and publishing industry while giving voice to youth from across the region. Interested teens are asked to attend an information session on Wednesday, September 13. The editorial board then meets regularly to choose a theme, collect submissions and organize and publish the book, which is released in the spring.
I want to be published in the book. How can I submit my work?
Any teen from Greater Cleveland is welcome to submit their poetry, prose or art for submission. Our call for submissions will be released in the fall, so stay tuned for more information.
