Lake Erie Ink: a writing space for youth, was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to provide a creative environment where young people can express themselves through writing. Our journey began in 2010 in Cleveland, Ohio, inspired by the belief that everyone has a story to tell, and every story deserves to be heard.

From humble beginnings, Lake Erie Ink has grown into a vibrant community resource, welcoming young writers from diverse backgrounds. Our programs are designed to ignite imagination, build confidence, and develop critical skills through creative expression. We offer workshops, after-school programs, and summer camps, all led by experienced educators and artists dedicated to nurturing the next generation of storytellers.

Vision

At Lake Erie Ink, our vision is to cultivate a world where every young person has the opportunity and the confidence to express their unique voice through the written word. We aspire to be a beacon of creativity and literacy, fostering a culture where writing and storytelling are celebrated as powerful tools for personal and community growth.

We believe in the transformative power of creative expression.

The voices of youth are at the center of what we do.

We are committed to openness, collaboration and accountability to the youth and communities we serve.
