Lake Erie Ink is pleased to announce that we have received ARPA (American Recovery Plan Act) funding from the city of Cleveland Heights. All Summer Ink programs will cost $25 each for Cleveland Heights residents. This includes both evening programs and day camps.

🌱 Word Gardeners | 2nd-5th grade | 9am-3pm | June 2-6 | $200
Let your creativity bloom as we explore the garden through words! In this camp, young writers will find inspiration in nature, crafting poetry, stories, and descriptive pieces inspired by the sights, smells, and sounds of the outdoors. Through hands-on activities and storytelling exercises, campers will nurture their imaginations and grow as writers, just like a garden flourishes with care.
🖐️ Puppet Fun | 2nd-5th grade | 9:30am-12:30pm | June 9-13 | @ Coventry Library | $100
Bring stories to life with puppetry! Campers will design and create unique puppets using a variety of materials, then develop characters and scripts to perform their own puppet shows. From silly sock puppets to intricate shadow play, this camp sparks creativity through storytelling, art, and performance.
📖 Young Novelists | 4th-8th grade | 1-4pm | June 16-27 | $200
Have you ever dreamed of writing your own book? In this camp, young novelists will dive into the world of storytelling, crafting characters, building worlds, and plotting out page-turning adventures. With guidance from experienced writers, campers will develop their own short novels from start to finish, exploring the creative process along the way.

Unleash your inner comic book creator! This camp is perfect for young artists and storytellers who love graphic novels and cartoons. Campers will learn the basics of comic creation, from developing characters and writing dialogue to illustrating action-packed scenes.

Want to turn your ideas into eye-catching comics, zines, and visual stories? This camp will teach young artists and writers how to combine words and images to craft personal narratives, informative zines, and bold, expressive stories in their own unique style.
🎲 Legends in the Making: D&D Story Games | 4th-8th grade | 1-4pm | Jul 21-Aug 1 | $200
Step into a world of adventure and imagination! In this camp, young storytellers will create characters, design quests, and collaborate to build epic narratives through tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. Monsters. Mysteries. Mayhem. Have you ever suspected that you would be able to survive in your own horror movie? Now’s your chance to find out! Using the exciting Monster of the Week horror-inspired tabletop game system, you and a group of other modern day monster hunters will create unique characters with special skills and compelling backstories and then work together to fight, investigate, and improvise your way through a mysterious monster-plagued small town in this story-focused tabletop role playing game.

Food tells a story! Explore the connection between food and storytelling as you write about flavors, family traditions, and memorable meals. Whether through poetry, personal essays, or creative recipes, this workshop whisks the art of words with the joy of food. All writing during this workshop can be submitted to our community cookbook!
