Stroll down memory lane and learn about the art and power of storytelling throughout this virtual fundraiser in honor of Lake Erie Ink’s 10th Anniversary. The virtual fundraising event will be held Saturday, May 8th. The main event is 7-9 pm with writing workshops available from 1-3 PM. We will be hosting the event virtually on zoom. See more details on levels of participation and cost below.
While we are disappointed that large scale in person gatherings are not yet feasible, we are excited to share our love of storytelling and our story with all of you. Whether you are an old friend or new acquaintance, this event has something for everyone, from hands-on workshops, a multimedia presentation, to a storytelling hour where you get the chance to tell your own stories as well. Check out the range of ticket options to see all the opportunities to get involved! Zoom link for all events will be sent out on May 7th
All proceeds ensure that youth in our community have not only the opportunity, but also a safe space to express themselves through creative writing.

Creative Writing Teacher
Matt grew up making comics but stopped in high school. He discovered the world of alternative and independent comics while earning his BS and MS in electrical engineering at Case Western Reserve University. Most importantly, he found Lynda Barry’s playful and liberating works on making and teaching comics. Matt now works as an engineer by day and makes and teaches comics on evenings and weekends. He enjoys the nervous creative energy of timed group drawing exercises and also co-leads a public local comics making group for adults, Comics in the Circle. He has made comics for Cleveland Scene, Vagabond Comics, CWRU’s The Observer, and he has exhibited self published work at Genghis Con.
