A storied September weekend
There are two events that storytellers of all ages won’t want to miss. On Friday night, plan to join Dave Sabol of TOLD CLE and Lake Erie Ink, exploring Lessons.
Check out the storytelling workshop at 6:30 at Lake Erie Ink, followed by a Told performance at 8:00pm, B-Side Liquor Lounge & Arcade, Coventry @ Euclid Heights Blvd.
Told is a live storytelling event in Cleveland, Ohio. At each live show, featured storytellers and audience members take the stage to tell a story around the evening’s theme.
Then, on Saturday, come back to Lake Erie Ink for our first Weekend Ink of the 2015-16 year: Telling Tales.
Play with two different forms of storytelling, enjoy performances and create your own.
Oluremi Ann Oliver, a member of the Cleveland Association of Black Storytellers, believes in the true power of a story. Oluremi will be performing and supporting our young storytellers in exploring an oral storytelling tradition.
Daniel McNamara, a Cleveland Heights native and puppeteer, will perform and educate us on the art of Cantastoria, a theatrical form where a performer tells or sings a story while gesturing to a series of created images.
