Weekend Ink Kicks Off With “Building Worlds with Words” 9/22
Lake Erie Ink’s 2018-2019 Weekend Ink series blasts off with a workshop for youth of all ages to let their imagination run wild and explore the realm of science fiction/fantasy world-building. If you’ve ever imagined living in a magical world, this workshop is for you. Featuring guest writer Charlotte Morgan, this workshop will explore the ins and outs of creating the perfect science fiction or fantasy setting in your stories.
Workshop leader Charlotte Morgan teaches composition and rhetoric at Cleveland State University. She is a veteran journalist and non-fiction writer who has been published locally, regionally and nationally; in addition, she builds worlds in her film scripts, plays, and short science fiction stories. Presently she is completing work on a novel, The Warhol Moment and a play, The Least, the Last and the Lost.
This workshop takes place at the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, at 11400 Euclid Avenue. Pre-registration is encouraged at lakeerieink.org/register.
Weekend Ink is a series of creative expression workshops for all ages where youth explore fun genres with guest artists and writers. Weekend Ink is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.
