Inside OUT: Queer Creators Connect
Weekly in May on Wednesdays| 5:30-6:30 PM
Build community and write with other LGBTQ+ teens. Queer teen writers and allies will share their stories and experiences while working on individual and collaborative writing projects. We will explore queer fiction, personal narrative, and poetry, and try our hand at all three of these genres, pulling from personal experience in our craft. This program will run 4 sessions until April 30 for grades 6-12. If you are not in grade 6 yet, contact Cordelia by email for potential exceptions.

Teaching “Inside OUT: Queer Creators Connect” and “NaPoWriMo Poetry Challenge,” Cordelia has a Master’s in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She was the Heights Arts Haiku Death Match Champion in 2018 and works with Lake Erie Ink as our Teen Program Coordinator. Contact her with any questions or concerns at cordelia@lakeerieink.org.

How to Participate
- Register for a program on our website.
- Download Zoom software on your computer, phone or tablet.
- Feel free to test out your hardware and software by experimenting with Zoom.
- Look for an email from your workshop facilitator explaining how to log onto zoom.
- You will receive a link to join a zoom meeting at the scheduled time.
- Make sure you are connected to the internet using WiFi or cellular.
- Log on, click yes for video and audio and enjoy.
Hint: Add the workshop dates to your calendar so you don’t forget to log on. Notice the time zone if you are not in EST.
