January 21, 2020Calling all TEEN writers! For 10 Tuesdays during Winter 2020, students in grades 8-12 will work with writers at cleveland.com to learn about and engage in journalism projects, ultimately working to publish original work on their site. Students will have use of chrome books for the session and receive a stipend upon completing the 10-week session with a publication. Bus passes and food are provided. Free parking.

January 23, 2020Want to enter the Poetry Slam but need some help? Maybe a little inspiration? Lake Erie Ink will be hosting workshops at the Lee Road Branch of Hights Libraries for high schoolers interested in competing in the annual Poetry slam. Drop by and perfect your poem!
Workshops will be held at the Lee Road branch of Cleveland Heights Public Libraries January 16 and January 23, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM. The annual poetry slam will be held January 30th from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Lee Road branch of Cleveland Heights Libraries. January 25, 2020Write your own play for the Marilyn Bianchi Kids' Playwriting Festival! Instructors include Native Cleveland playwright and winner of the Cleveland Scene Magazine best actress award Amy Schwabauer.
The workshop will be held Saturday, January 25 from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM and February 15 from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM at Dobama Theatre (2340 Lee Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118). Cost is 10$ at the door.
