Story Illustration Workshop with Adeel uz Zafar
Illustrate and write your story in a workshop lead by Pakistani artist Adeel uz Zafar. Participants will use recycled materials to create mixed media illustrations and then write the story that grows out of their illustrations. Saturday, May 3rd from 10:30 to 1:00 pm at Lake Erie Ink: a writing space for youth (2843 Washington Blvd. in Cleveland Heights. For all families and individuals of all ages.
The Coventry School parking lot will be closed for a bike rodeo so please park a block away and walk over to our space in the Coventry School.
Adeel uz Zafar is known for his unique and meticulous scratching technique and for his work as an illustrator of children’s books, including a Pakistani version of The Mountain Who Loved a Bird, by Alice McLerran. Born in Karachi, Pakistan, he received his BFA from National College Lahore before joining the Karachi School of Arts as an instructor. Adeel is a 2014 Cleveland Foundation Creative Fusion Artist, hosted by Ingenuity Cleveland. For more information on Adeel’s work, please visit his website.
