Lake Erie Ink presents “Story Building in the Square”
By Lisa Wisniewski, John Carroll University intern
Throughout the summer, Lake Erie Ink is hosting a fun community event for everyone to get involved in storytelling! “Story Building in the Square” gives friends and family a fantastic way to let their creativity shine through the use of teamwork, imagination, and thinking on their feet. The concept is easy; team members roll large inspiration blocks, which will give them a random assortment of words that they then use to create a story. This is usually done with a time limit and can be even more exciting with multiple teams trying to create a story in a competitive fashion. This interactive event engages all ages from moving the cubes, to writing, and then presenting stories to the crowd.
Taking place in Public Square in downtown Cleveland, the first event, which will be held on Friday, June 30th from 6-8pm, is fantastic for friends to get together after work and loosen up after a hard day’s work. The following dates (July 8th, July 29th, and August 12th from 3-5pm) are perfect for families to bring their children, teens, and other family members.
